Department Overview
The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program is one of the most sought-after undergraduate courses in our college, designed to provide students with a strong foundation in commerce, finance, accounting, taxation, and business management. The course aims to equip students with practical knowledge and analytical skills that are essential in today’s competitive business world.
The curriculum is a blend of theoretical concepts and real-world applications, enabling students to understand and manage various aspects of trade, economy, and entrepreneurship. Subjects like Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Banking, Income Tax, GST, Business Law, Corporate Accounting, and Management Studies are part of the comprehensive syllabus that prepares students for professional excellence.
The B.Com department regularly conducts seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and guest lectures from industry experts to bridge the gap between academics and industry practices. Students are also encouraged to participate in commerce fests, paper presentations, and internships to gain hands-on experience.
Graduates of the B.Com program can pursue careers in banking, finance, accounting, auditing, taxation, business process outsourcing, government services, or go on to pursue higher education such as M.Com, MBA, CA, CS, CMA, or professional certifications.
